About the Journal
Scope & Aims
The Journal of International Relations (JIR) is the flagship peer-reviewed publication of the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka. Established in 1975, the journal publishes original empirical and theoretical research on international relations, foreign policy analysis, global governance, security studies, and regional politics with a focus on South Asia and the Global South.
Submission Guidelines
- Manuscripts must be between 6,000 and 10,000 words (including references)
- Submissions must be double-blinded — remove all author identifying information
- File format: PDF or DOCX
- Referencing style: Chicago Author-Date
- An abstract of 150–200 words and 4–6 keywords must be included
- Authors must not submit work currently under review elsewhere
